PRIVACY NOTICE
Camera data stays under the owner's control.
Frequincy Home is an owner-managed personal integration. This notice describes the application's data practices; it does not replace Google's policies for the Google Home, Nest or Google Cloud services.
Data accessed
With the owner's permission, the application obtains information about selected camera devices and their available streaming capabilities, live camera video and microphone audio. It uses Google OAuth authorization credentials to maintain the authorized connection. The Google connection also has permission to read the home name, room names and ZIP code, which Google requires for this integration. Local activity detection analyzes the incoming audio and video rather than requesting Google event or snapshot permissions.
How the data is used
Video and audio are used for live viewing, local recording, activity detection, recording playback and exports requested by the owner. Device names and identifiers keep recordings associated with the correct camera. Recording times, media details, activity windows and operational notices support the archive and its health display.
The application does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, send it to an AI model for training, or use it to train a model.
Storage and access
Recordings are stored on the owner's configured storage. Google connection credentials, the archive index, operational logs and temporary playback files are kept in the application's private local storage. The hub password is stored as a salted password hash. Trusted-device sessions and unused invitations are stored as hashes of random credentials, with expiration times and device labels. An invitation can include the intended recipient email; opening it alone does not grant access. The recipient must explicitly connect the device. Invitations expire after seven days and can be used once; a connected device can stay signed in for up to one year or until revoked. Recordings, credentials and private configuration are excluded from the application's source-code backups.
Viewing access must be restricted to the owner and people the owner authorizes. Remote access uses password- or invitation-authenticated HTTPS. The configured network relay carries encrypted traffic between devices and the hub. A gateway computer may be needed for the current remote route; the archive remains on the configured recording computer. Connection checks may query public DNS for the configured hostname and test access through that HTTPS route. Downloaded or shared exports leave the local archive and are controlled by the person who exports them.
Retention and deletion
The archive uses the owner's storage and retention settings. Older footage without detected activity is retired before older activity footage when space is needed. No fixed retention period is promised: video bitrate, activity, available space and the reserved system capacity affect how much history remains. Temporary playback copies have a separate bounded cache.
The owner can remove local recordings and revoke the integration through Google's Partner Connections Manager. Revoking Google access stops future authorized camera access; it does not itself remove recordings already saved on the owner's computer. Removing local recordings does not automatically remove exports previously downloaded elsewhere.
Google services and other recipients
The Google and Nest services continue to process camera data under the owner's Google settings and Google's policies. Frequincy Home uses Google's OAuth and Smart Device Management services to obtain authorized streams. The application does not provide a separate hosted storage service or an analytics collector for camera footage. The owner should review any network or storage service separately configured for remote viewing or exports.
Owner administration
This application has no public registration or independent customer-data operator. The owner administers camera permissions, viewing access, storage and deletion. The Google consent screen identifies the support contact associated with the owner's integration.
Frequincy Home's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
